EA and Mythic Entertainment have officially announced that Warhammer Online for Mac computers will be released on October 28 th . WAR which will be available via digital download on the 28 th for Mac, will run seamlessly on severs so that Mac players can play side by side with PC users. Current Warhammer Online subscribers can access WAR on Mac with the beta version which is available now. There's a brand new update over on the Warhammer Online Herald , and this one is something particularly cool for guilds: a peek at the Guild Interface in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning . The most notable piece of information about the guild interface is that you'll not only be able to see what you'd expect in a guild window, but you'll also be able to modify your guild's Standard (with access, of course), purchase special guild-only Tactics, and check out the rewards available to your guild based on your guild's level. The article covers the Profile, Calendar, Roster, Alliance, Standard, Rewards and Admin sections of the interface, as well as a spotlight guild -- this time being the well-known guild Xen of Onslaught. In our last article, we covered where WAR is as of now . With this particular piece, we'll be talking a bit about where WAR is going – more specifically in the case of the Renown system, Character Mastery, and the careers of the elves. For those familiar with EA Mythic’s previous success – Dark Age of Camelot – the Renown system will seem relatively similar. The same mechanic of gaining “levels” is there, and it’s earned in the same fashion: “experience” points which can only be obtained through Player versus Player or Realm versus Realm action. “Renown” is a fairly appropriate name for this system, too. More on that later, though – for now we’ll cover the basics of the system. Renown is completely earned through the PvP and RvR systems. There are 80 “Renown Ranks” in total – think of them as levels in other games. You level up, gain access to new PvP-specific perks, and also unlock the ability to purchase and use higher quality PvP-specific armor and weapons. Each Renown Rank works...

This afternoon we had an opportunity to speak with Mark Jacobs of EA Mythic about the recent delay of Warhammer Online . This turned out to be a rather long chat, so to avoid inundating you with 23 minutes worth of conversation, we've condensed it into a concise overview of everything discussed.
