The Games Day 2008 in Baltimore had EA Mythic attend and they made sure to share quite a bit of interesting Warhammer Online information. Syp, a WAR fan made a very interesting blog post, where he go over 50 different tidbits from Games Day 2008, all Warhammer Online related of course.

One of the biggest tidbits that was announced is that" EA Mythic already planning the first two years of release, the first two big content patches, and is currently in pre-production into the first expansion pack". This is great to hear and shows that they definitely plan to keep their game interested and updated for the long haul. Content is always a big concern when it come to MMOs, players want more all the time.

A couple of people who attended to GD2008 published their reviews of the event over at Warhammer Alliance.

It's filled with a lot of interesting tidbits. The spotlight is the Shadow Warrior. A ranged archer type of class, that is able to dish out bow shots at a short range. They also wield short longswords and wear light leather and scale mail armor. The neat thing about their appearances is that they wear hoods, mantles and draped over concealing cloaks. Suits the name Shadow Warrior. There's many interesting races and classes in the Warhammer Online world, I suggest checking out The Armies of War.

We have lost our families, our lands, and our innocence. Even our kin look upon us with suspicious eyes, for all they remember is the atrocities of Malekith and his ilk, not the nobility of those who remained. It is for these reasons we fight this Shadow War, for redemption can only come from tears and blood. Only when Malekith breathes his last, his heart pierced by Nagarythe steel, shall we ask Lileath for forgiveness. Until that day nothing will stand in the path of our vengeance

- Filamar the Swift, Shadow Warrior of Nagarythe

The newsletter also cover:

PVP Scenarios, Episode 1: Nordenwatch and Highpass Cemetary. A very interesting overview, telling you how the scenarios work and how to win them.

War Novel -- Empire in Chaos. Preview Chapter. I read it and I find it quite well written and it's definitely making me consider to order the full novel. If you're interested in ordering it, you can do so from The Black Library. That hasn't stopped analysts from placing it as the only MMO in the potential best sellers list for 2008.

Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey claims that the year ahead could see the retailer's 2008 results exceeding his own predictions by a large margin.

We recognize investors could continue to punish shares from... fears over a consumer lead recession. That said, we continue to believe the video market will grow significantly in ’08, and expect their used game model will be very attractive to a potentially stressed consumer.

Despite the console and limited multiplayer dominated list, Warhammer Online managed to break in and this could reprisent the start of something revolutionary with the new EA Mythic title.

The list is as follows:

Grand Theft Auto IV (Take-Two)
Midnight Club: Los Angeles (Take-Two)
Guitar Hero III (Activision)
Rock Band (EA)
FIFA '08 (EA)
Madden '08 (EA)
Burnout Paradise (EA)
Battlefield (EA)
Mercenaries 2 (EA)
Borderlands (Take-Two)
Fable 2 (Microsoft)
Halo Wars (Microsoft)
Fallout 3 (Bethesda)
Saboteur (EA)
Warhammer Online (EA)
Spore (EA)
Frontlines (THQ)
Wall-E (THQ)
Call of Duty 4 (Activision)
