WAR just doesn't have the same disparity in terms of "pretty" that WoW did at the start. The introduction of bonuses for players of the lesser populated faction will hopefully help those undecided on their race/class going into it get nudged in the right direction. They may already do it, but separate queues for each faction would be a benefit...at least for players that have already rolled on one faction or another.

re: How is WAR gonna tackle the faction Pop imbalance?

I have to Disagree with banadona. Yes on some servers there may be a 30 min wait time, but you can always re roll on a low populated server. Plus the fact is when you do get into the high pop. server, you can pretty much just RvR and get renown quicker than a low population server. On my server Tier 3 scenerios just started popping up, and last week there wasnt enough Tier 3 players for 1, had to wait 3-4 hours to get into RvR.

I play on an high pop server (almost no queue since they increase the capacity).

people from other server where still coming and busting the 1h queue at one time.

people want high pop server, and mythic will give us those server.

Did you saw T3 and T4 keep? they are frigging huge compared to t2.
T2 keep is only the last bastion of a t3 keep. it require shitload of people to keep it.

re: A SERIOUS post about population imbalance and how to he

Negative.

Scenario victories add to victory points which lead to zone captures. Having Xrealm scenarios would make no sense

re: How is WAR gonna tackle the faction Pop imbalance?

I say let them tackle outstanding career balancing issues first. The "newbie" side can hold out until they balance out those freaking Witch Elves and buff the Magus (seriously, even as an Order player I cringe at how terribly broken the Magus is), and etcetera. It's not even worth thinking about at this point. In 6 months things will stable out and then they can look at where the imbalances are.

I have a level 20 Shadow Warrior on one server and a level 22 Green Skin Tank (can't remember the stupid name) on another... Plus a 5 or 6 others between 5 and 15. But I expect that my first level 40 will be a character I haven't even created yet.

Most players will do something like this... Trying differnet classes, etc.

re: How is WAR gonna tackle the faction Pop imbalance?

I like their idea of actually recommend new players factions and servers. Maybe it could be a good idea to highlight the advantages of choosing the weaker side (instant scenarios and such).
