There's been a lot of information released on 3.2 so far, and it looks like Blizzard isn't quite done yet. Bornakk today hinted at positive changes to mounts in 3.2 for low-level characters, after Philbo of US-Sargeras suggested a way to help the 1-58 grind.
While no specific details were given, Bornakk promises that in the near future we'll be filled in on the changes, and they're related to a review of the mount skill system in its entirety.
Remember that the base riding skill was reduced to a level 30 requirement -- down from level 40 -- in patch 2.4.3. Will we be seeing something similar? Perhaps for all riding skills, this time around? While being able to fly around Outland at 60 -- or even 65 -- may be a bit much, perhaps making the base riding skill something received at level 10, with epic at level 40 or 50, would be a good solution.
Another potential solution could be to introduce Heirloom mounts -- purchased with Emblems of Heroism -- that can be ridden at level 1, to improve the replay value for players who already have a level 80 while still maintaining the beginner experience for those new to the game.
What are your thoughts? What would you like to see changed with the mount system in 3.2?
