  • About AlertFilter
  •

Note: This addon REQUIRES you to have LibSlash 1.8+ installed! You can download LibSlash from the WAR section of Curse: http://war.curse.com/downloads/details/13510/

AlertFilter allows you to choose what alerts you see, and which you don't. Get rid of the annoying "Ability not yet ready" spam if you don't like it, or get rid of the zone change announcements if you don't care.

To access AlertFilter in-game, type /af or /afilter.

Example usage:

Filters out the "Ability not yet ready" alerts:

  • /af add not yet ready

Filters out entering an area of a zone:

  • /af addtype enterarea

Will this addon remove the chatspam when killing players?
"This player has been killed recently...." etc? if it does, what command do I type in? I cant seem to get it to work

No, AlertFilter only deals with the mid-screen alerts, not chat.

Hi Aiiane. I have re-installed my addons among which is afilter. But afilter does not output anything now. For instance, /af add seems to work but there is no output. /afilter list does not output anything. Any idea ? Thnaks in advance.

Make sure your Say channel is turned on in the chat filters.

  • Hello Aiiane, it seems to me that there are always one or two alert which are not filtered. Do you think it is possible de filter all of them in one line of command?

Thank you for the tools you developped.

I don't wanna be a bother, but if you have the time (or anyone else ofcourse) could you please make a short explatatory text to those Alert Types? Some of them are defenetly not self explanatory. :)

I actually don't know what all of them are. :) I just pulled out the list of constants that's in the default UI; I haven't tried experimenting with all of them.

Oh my... this add-on is a godsend in PvP when you're trying to watch the fight to determine who needs heals! Thanks for the add-on, Aiiane!

Is there a way to filter quest progress test? I've been looking, but haven't found the method to do that yet.

    /af addtype quest_condition

Should work - I believe that's the proper type qualifier. If you want to block all alerts about quests, you could probably use

    /af addtype quest_name

which would apply to any question alert since most quest alerts are 2 lines, one of type quest_name and the other of a different type depending on the alert (quest_condition, quest_end, etc).

Mod that I've gotten so used to, I had forgotten I had installed it. Absolute necessity to get rid of those annoying alerts, and I'm surprised more people haven't used this. Thank you

Confirmed. AF doesn't seem to be working. Fresh install of latest AF and LibSlash. Shows that terms are added, but does not actually filter them. Tested with example "not ready yet"

Nevermind. Didn't notice the poor english and added "not ready yet" instead of "not yet ready".

Also, you may want to add a check to see if a term is already on the list. During testing, wound up with 3 "not ready yet" on the list.

I try /af add Invalid Target and /af redirect off and yet I still receive the Invalid Target message in my chat window. I have the latest version of libslash and alertfilter. Is there an addon that interferes with alertfilter that I may have installed?
