Installation Guide

Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start Warhammer Online

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

An excellent addon, similar to Quartz for WoW.
It is a pity that there are no additional options (slash commands {/cc})

Still having problems with the bar sticking after everything i cast.
Deleted all files associated with it Clean Castbar and reinstalled it too.

Not so much of a major problem, just a minor annoyance.

Again, a fault of the default castbar code. Let me repeat that all this does is change the appearance of the bar, it doesn't change *any* of the logic.

The ^ you see is if the name is exactly long enough that the max length allowed for the cast bar is 1 more than the length of the actual name - there's actually a hidden ^M or ^F on the end of every name (to denote gender), and so when it truncates to max length, it takes off the M or F, which results in the ^ becoming visible (because it's no longer interpreted as the escape sequence ^M or ^F).

While interacting with quest objects or Scavenging the bar becomes extremely dark. Looks like the color is behind the bar. Happens anytime a cast counts down (instead of up).

It's a bug with the default code, it simply doesn't change the color of the bar from what it last was (which if a spellcast was marked as 'cancelled' - which even some successful spells are, due to the latency/moving stuff) then it shows the bar as the dark 'cancelled' tint.

I'll probably just change the cancel tint to work around that.

There is an alternative option of red (delete the original CleanCastbar.xml and rename CleanCastbar.xml.RED to CleanCastbar.xml), but those are the only two options available at the moment due to limited texture choices (trying to dye one color texture another doesn't work very well when the base texture isn't white).
