  • About DAoCBuff
  •

DAoCBuff adds a DAoC-like Buffwindow to your Interface.

Remark

  • new amazing features in version 1.00.
We recommend that you delete your old DaoCBuff folder
because of a new file structure.
v.1.00 will try to convert your old settings into the new ones
but thats not possible for all settings.
So make sure all settings are according your preferences.

    Hi,

Have just hit rr65 and have got the first of the 25 ap increases. With this I now have a buff on my daocbuff bar called 'battlefield master'. Is there a way to stop daocbuff from showing this completely. I can stop it showing in combat but do not know how to get rid of it completely.

    please help

At First this isn't done with hitting a single button.
As always, there is no help for users who do not reply.
So I would like to ask you,
How do you get rid of it in combat ?

  • I've been looking for an addon similar to WoW 'SmartBuff' that alerts you when a party member is missing a buff that you can give. Any chance of that feature being added to this project?

    This chance is very low.
At the moment we dont even support groupmember and there is no feature to get multiple sources into one frame.
If this is both added, then you could build this feature with the advanced filters but only if those two features are added.

This is such a "special" task so I think a dedicated addon for that would make more sense than integrating it into a other huge addon that really wasn't made for that purpose.

Any way to sort the buffs/debuffs in the frames?
I really want to set my buffs/debuffs at the start and then the targets buffs/debuffs and the other players buffs/debuffs at the end (or some other arrangement).
    Other than that: nice addon!

The frame based system which is used by DAoCBuff can handle one source(target) of Buffs per frame.
So it would make alot of work to expand that to multiple sources.

Even if we would do that,
how could I be able to fastly recognize which are my Buffs and which belong to someone other?
Wouldn't it be better to use seperate frames for that?

I have been having a problem with DAOCBuff since 1.2.1

I cannot get the target friendly/hostile frame to appear. It is nowhere to be found in my layout editor and I have enabled them manually using /daocbuff.

The only buffs/debuffs I can see are my own in their frame as they should be.

    Any help appreciated.

did you tried to delete the DAoCBuff folder and then reinstall it ?
did you tried to use /resetdaocbuff ?

if none of this helps the problem should be a major one ...
it would be very nice if you would open a ticket in this case.

    dear crestor

first thanks for the quick help ;)

The problems with the layout editor seem to be gone with the update. at least for those frames that I use, they all show in the layout editor, don't resett anymore. I did not test the "Rename" button yet for fear of a crash though. ;)

The only thing I think could need some improvement is the way to use filters. I find them very confusing to handle (and sometimes not work the desired way).

when I try to set conditions by myself (not using the premade filters you offer) I many times have the feeling that they do not work or are not being "saved". For example: I was not able to use more than one condition for a filter - only the last condition I made will show up in the "conditions" pull down menue.

anyway, great addon - also helped my performance a lot by killing the default buffs.

Did you read the guide I wrote for the filter ?
    http://war.curseforge.com/projects/daocbuff/pages/main/advanced-filter-guide/

What Conditions do you have after you clicked on "Add Condition" ?

If this isn't helping I would prefer some voice/IM connection to help you.
    Simply contact me per PM.
I will publish the result after we solved the problem for everyone else.

is there a way to create a filter to ONLY see those buffs on the enemy that make it "unstoppable" and "unsilenceable" (I think there are a view different buffs like that depending on what happened to the enemy - but I don't exactly know their names nor IDs - it's not exactly abilites, is it? so I guess I wouldn't be able to find the IDs on WARDB?)

I just don't get on how I would accomblish this with the filters.

I just found out how to do it. (just using the filter unstopable).

part of why I couldn't figure it out in the first place however is that I have the same bug that doomgod describes above.

certain frames just don't appear in the layout editor anymore.

I first tried the "hostile buff" frame, but it the desired buffs never showed up - so I thought I'd done something wrong with the filters until I found out the layout editor does not show the whoe frame at all.

On "hostile all" the filter works perfectly though and theis frame does show in the editor too. :)

the layouteditor is not a good basis at all ...
it sometime forgets to (un)register frames,
so you have to relog/reloadui to see what is really registered
and also here some more details so I can try to reproduce the problem

Not fixed. Deleted my old directory and installed the latest fresh ... still resets position with a /reloadui

Any chance of a /slash command that will force a savedvariable save?

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Crestor said

No, that is done by Mythic
and as far as I know they didnt implemented an external command for that.

    But you could try to
    1. postioion your frames in the Layout Editor
    2. Restart all DAoCBuff frames manually through the settings window
    3. Relog! (not /reloadui)

I had to delete every instance of DAoCBuff under the user directory to get it to work, but it _is_ working now.

Now that it is behaving and I had to redo all the setting again ... I now remember a request I wanted to ask ...

Can we have a checkbox option to color all debuffs icons RED for easy identification, especially under the Self_All.

Also, under Friendly_All and Hostile_All can we have a check box option to prioritize YOUR buffs/debuffs in the list and THEN sort by duration.
