This Warhammer Online mod is intended as a tool to help players select targets during confusing engagements. One of the major issues with combat is that, during the press of battle, it becomes difficult to accurately select and target an enemy player in game space.

The idea here is to create a visual list of enemy contacts, represented as a health bar with a name and level indicator for each contact, which would be much easier to click on when compared to a moving actor in game space. The list is populated by "sweeping" the mouse over targets in world space. As you mouse over each target, their information is added to the list. This also provides a better view of enemy status than simply watching a mass of them move about.

Currently this is in early beta phase and very buggy.

Usage:

- Install the mod to your interface/addons folder.
- Use the customize interface option to move the DCL Radar Frame to where you want the list of targets to appear
- Whenever you mouse over an enemy player, a little bar will appear with their name, level and health will appear.
- These bars disappear after a while, the square to the right of the bar indicates staleness (brighter squares mean more recent data)
- You current target's bar is border highlighted
- Left click a bar to target that player (well, attempt to)
- Right click a bar to remove it

This addons still kind of works for me. Just doesn't work great! Wish somebody would pick it up again.

No matter what I try, I cannot find the window to move this to where I want it.

Apparently patch 1.06 broke this addon... hopefully this can/will be fixed since hover-casting is no longer possible.

Career would be great! Also a color fadeout or something if out of range would be killer.

I second the request for the career display, along with the archetype (healer, ranged DPS, etc) conditionning the color of the bar. I suggest you use LibTargetInfo to access this data and store it between sessions.

I'd like to suggest adding a class indicator at some point, at least for in scenarios. I'm not sure if it would be too difficult to pull that from the scenario summary or not. Would be a very handy feature though.

  • This is a great help. Not just in scenarios either. I find it useful in open world rvr too. Sometimes you just get a glimpse of an enemy and aren't quite sure of the level. Now a quick flash over of the mouse pointer is all that's needed.
Top class. Thank you for a great mod. Rated 5 star in my book.

The mod also supports primary target calling, but its really rudimentary right now.

If you make macros which call:

/script DeftContactList.SetPrimary() : Makes your current target primary target
    /script DeftContactList.TargetPrimary() : Target's your Primary Target
/script DeftContactList.BroadcastPrimary() : Announces to party chat your current target (NOT the set primary, that needs to get synced up)
