About FastInteract

FastInteract Options

This addon tries to speedup your interaction with npcs.

All shortcuts are disabled by default

Shift+Rightclick on an npc of the following kind will have varying effects:

Questgiver

You accept the first offered quest automatically.
Completed quests are handed in automatically.

Healer

All penalties are healed.
Merchant

You skip the initial dialog to the storewindow.
Rally Master

You set your Rally Point.

I will most likely add more shortcuts over time, these are just the first two for now.

Installation Guide

Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start Warhammer Online

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

Nice mod, but I was kind of wondering how I would be able to edit the mod, so I can just right click without using the "shift" key?

Open the FastInteract.lua and replace the following line
FastInteract.shift=(modifier==4)
with
FastInteract.shift=(modifier~=4)

Now it will work only when shift is not pressed, while pressing shift will bring forth the games normal behaviour.

I spend a little over an hour looking at the codes on FastInteract.lua; i tried switching things around doing =true and ==false and many other noobish things and now only to find out that I only need to change one char. LOL

Thanks for helping me out, I would never had figured it out alone.

Slight derail but hoping you can help. For a while now I have not been able to change professions, when I select 'Yes' to the 'I wan't to learn Scavenging' dialog, the confirmation dialog doesn't pop. I'm not sure if it is something you would add to your addon but thought that if I asked nicely you might have some idea as to the mechanism. Cheers.

I had this issue a while back, easier just to rename the interface\addons directory, log in, change professions, log out and rename it back. :)

You could try to find out if you have any addons which might interfere with this process.
For this you could type /addon and disable your addons one by one and see if it works afterwards.
If this doesn't help try the following:

Interact with the Trainer and then write
/script EA_Window_InteractionTraining.BuyTradeSkill()
in your chatbox.

There is no shortcut for that currently, i didn't think of it as something which is used often enough.

Hi, thank you for making this mod. I have two suggestions.

1. Enable LibSlash to allow users to disable shortcuts they do not wish to use. For instance, I want to use the healer shortcut, but do not want to accept all quests automatically.
2. Questgiver - You turn in any completed quests which do not have a choice of reward items, such as repeatable kill quests for scenarios.
3. Vendor - You automatically bypass the option to Dye items, going directly to the item browser.

1. I currently do not see the point in doing that, as you won't use the shortcut as long as you do not press shift. I may change my idea of that, as soon as one npc has more than one shortcut.

2. Good idea, i thought of the same :)

3. Here i just thought of selling all grey items, for mixing your idea and this libslash might actually be a good idea.
