Information

Infinity is my little pet project to create a more simple yet effective unitframe addon. Instead of a complex ingame config I would like to keep everything lua based. This includes positions and sizing, I find that I am much better at placing things where I want them when I can give an exact position. The aura system is something I thought would be useful, where buffs are shown above the unitframe, and debuffs are shown below, making it much easier to see what general kind of effect you have on.

Layout

The PLAYER | TARGET | FRIENDLY frames can be positioned by opening `config.lua` however none of the other settings will do anything at the moment.

WIP

  • Auras:
    • Filtering: Only show player casted abilities on all types of targets
    • Buffs: Displayed above the unitframe
    • Debuffs: Displayed below the unitframe

  • Class Mechanic Bars [config setting]
  • Party
  • Friendly HUD [config setting]
  • Hostile HUD [config setting]
  • Style System
    • I want to have a complex style system where mutliple style sub-addons can be created by individual users and they can register with the base addon.

BUGS

  • Hiding: After a reloadui if you had a target sometimes the frame will remain blank without any information until a new target is acquired.
  • There appears to be an issue with `hostile objects` they may not show up or may show as 0% (doors etc)

    I updated this a little, switched over to class coloring unique to each class and pushed the aura system to curse, now because mythic sorts their auras oddly some things that might be debuffs will show as buffs and vice versa.

    I released an early version with the aura system in-place, you can try it out on curseforge. I'm not sure it's ready for release on curse.

  • I finally had the chance to try these out in game, and they look even better than the screenshot. I love the fact that you color the actual HP bar per archtype instead of the name text.

    These unitframes will definitely be the ones I use once a few more features get put in. Keep up the great work. :)

    Any chance you could add an option 3rd bar to the player bar, under AP, for career mechanic? Checkbox option maybe =D. Most classes it doesn't matter, but on my DOK i hate having to whip my focus from the mechanic icon to the HP bar and back constantly.

    I've gone ahead and used the color scheme Squared uses to identify targets by:

    MDPS - melee dps
    RMDPS - ranged magic dps
    RPDPS - ranged phyiscal dps
    tanks
    RSUPP - ranged support
    MSUPP - melee support

    I'm working on buffs at the moment, once I have that done I will probably push a beta to war.curse.com you can try them out now if you really want to at http://war.curseforge.com/projects/infinity/
