ISMoCasts is an addon to provide mouseover targeting and casting on players running around in the game world and in your various unit frames (group, warband, scenario groups). Version 2.0 now has a command (see below) to disable ISMoCasts functionality for unit frames, if desired.
Using ISMoCasts is as simple as mousing over a player anywhere on your screen that you wish to cast a spell on and pressing the hotkey for that spell. It will automatically target that player and your spell will be cast on them. If you are not mousing over a target that is appropriate for that spell, the spell will affect your current target. Version 2.0 now works with both friendly and hostile spells on players, not NPCs. It can also protect you from accidental pvp flagging by casting beneficial spells on a pvp flagged target.
By default, ISMoCasts will keep your friendly selected target "sticky". This means that anytime you cast a friendly spell on someone, it will retarget your sticky target after you have finished casting. If you would like to have it simply keep each target you select until you select another, you can turn this off by using the command provided below. It does not do sticky targeting for hostile targets.
ISMoCasts now works with the following Unit Frames:
- WAR's Default Group, WarBand, and Scenario Group Frames
- HealGrid (v1.0.0 or greater, make sure you have hovercast disabled in HealGrid)
- Clean Unit Frames (v1.0.1 or greater, make sure you have hovercast and hovertarget disabled in CUF)
- Squared (v1.2.6 or greater)
ISMoCasts requires the LibSlash addon to work.
- Setting Options: All options are now specific to each character
- /ismocasts
spits out info message on commands
- /ismocasts set stickytarget on
turns on sticky target (preserves your friendly target across casts)
- /ismocasts set stickytarget off
turns off sticky target (allows you to use hover casting to select a target and keep mashing heals for them)
- /ismocasts set debug on|off
turns debug messages on or off
- /ismocasts set useuf on|off
turns mouseover casting on or off for unit frames
- /ismocasts set rvrprotect on|off
turns the protection against accidental pvp flagging on or off, is off by default
- /ismocasts set allowhostile on|off
turns the ability to mouseover cast hostile spells on hostile targets on or off, is off by default
- /ismocasts set allowfriendly on|off
turns the ability to mouseover cast friendly spells on friendly targets on or off, is on by default
- /ismocasts set checkspelltype on|off
turns spell type checking on or off, is on by default. You would only really turn this off if you have abilities that damage your hostile target and benefit your friendly target. This way you can mouseover a friendly or hostile target and cast it.
- /ismocasts options
shows the options screen
- /ismocasts on|off
turns the addon on or off
- /ismocasts print
prints out the current options and their values
- If you do not have sticky targeting set, it is possible to get an "Invalid Target" on yourself. Simply hit F1, manually select yourself, or deselect yourself to restore functionality. I am working on this, but it appears to be a bug on Mythic's end that is causing it.
- In order to cast a hostile spell on a hostile hovercast target, you must have a hostile target selected. It will cast it on the correct one, but you must have a hostile target.
- The protection against accidental pvp flagging cannot currently cancel the spell. Instead, it will either target your sticky target (if sticky targeting is enabled) or it will target yourself so that you will not be flagged. It will still cast the spell. I am looking into a better solution.
- Provide an option to select specific spells that can use the mouseover casting and all other spells will simply be used normally
