For Add-On Users:
This add-on was originally written to display the commercial Killer Guides in-game. However, please feel free to create your own guides for this add-on or to use, modify and enhance it as long as credit is given to the creators (see below for further details on this). An excellent example of this being done is the Beastiary Helper.
The add-on also comes with 3 free guides:
- An RvR guide for Chosen players
- A Squig Herder solo tactics guide
- A mini guide to quests and scenariosYou can install it by extracting the zip file into the Interface\AddOns folder.
... more to come.
For Add-On Developers:
This add-on solves the problem of displaying text-based content inside the game. All parts of the code can be used without any restrictions for other add-ons as long as your add-on description includes a link to killerguides.com, the add-on itself gives credit with a mentioning of the URL on the first page and the project is non-commercial.
We also offer support free of charge to any add-on developers who are interested in using this add-on for their own projects. Please send me PMs with any questions you might have.
Added two more guides to the addon: A mini quest and scenario guide and a squig herder solo tactics guide.
Installation Guide
- Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".

Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!

- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start Warhammer Online
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
