Tired of the cluttered interface in the LayoutManager? Cannot see your frames because of all mostley hidden the frames? Fear not, Lemmie is here!

Lemmie is a manager for the built-in WAR LayoutEditor. It enables you to select frames which should not be shown in the layout editor. This is especially very useful for users who have multiple addons installed which make use of the layout editor by cleaning up the cluttered window by e.g. having their hidden windows not drawn.

To start the configuration, just type "/lemmie". A window with the registered frames will be shown. From the list you can now select frames, which should not be displayed in the layout editor (select the frame and click the "Unregister" button). To make the visible again, just select them again and click the "Register" button. A short-cut for this is to click the line with the right mouse button. You can sort the list by clicking on the labels.

"Unregister" of frames has no influence if they will be drawn in the main window or not. It just applies to the LayoutEditor. Meaning you can "unregister" frames which clutter your Layout-Editor interface but still should be drawn in the main-window (e.g. if you do not want to move them around in the Editor anyway).

A known problem is, that the "Hidden" state of the window is not remembered over reboots. Meaning, if you unregister a frame, log-out and back in, then register the frame again, the "hidden" flag might not be applied and you have to manually do this yourself. I am thinking about a way to fix this problem.

  • Thanks a million for Lemmie. It has made organizing my Layout much simpler. My only regret with Lemmie is that I didn't start using it sooner. Cheers!

So why are there lines in the manager that can be selected and others that cannot?

Users who upgraded to WAR patch 1.0.6 with installed Lemmie might end up with "unmovable" frames, esp unmovable action-bar-artwork. To solve this, follow this procedure:

    - register the frame in lemmie
    - go to the layouteditor and apply your changes (hide, size, position, ...)
    - unregister it again with lemmie

This problem is cause by "force showing" certain frames, e.g. by updating a version of an "UI-Element", like the action bars.

Not sure how this works, not tried it yet, but would it allow me to move my pet health bar?

This addon configures which of the frames in the layout-editor are drawn and which not. It will not move any frames for you. If you cannot move the pet-frame in the standard LayoutEditor, you might want to check out FrameRoster.

Awesome job mate. If you're interested in allowing users to add unregistered frames, feel free to borrow my code from FrameRoster. =D

You pretty much timed the release of this right as I was about to throw my computer at the wall because the overlapping windows were starting to piss me off...Thanks :) This makes SNT bar less of a pain in the ass.

There seems to be quite a few bugs with this. Lots of windows can't be unregistered, and my SNT bag window and primary target windows just disappered but they are still registered.

Are you using v1.0.1? I discovered these issues just after releaseing v1.0.0. I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused.
