About
Mesh is an AddOn that creates a grid on-screen to assist with arranging UI elements.
It is similar to Align for World of Warcraft.

Use
Mesh will display automagically when the Layout Editor is active.
The Mesh config window containing a slider bar along with the current grid square size value will appear below the Layout Editor HUD Controls window.
Adjusting the slider range can create grid squares from 16 to 256; the smaller the value, the larger the grid square.
The Mesh config window can be moved simply by clicking anywhere on the window and dragging, and hovering over the top right of the window will display the close button.

Slash Commands
/script Mesh.Show() - Show Mesh
/script Mesh.Hide() - Hide Mesh
/mesh show - Show Mesh
/mesh hide - Hide Mesh

Dependencies
Optional - LibSlash

    Found this great addon today and installed but do not get the grid to show up. I have the box in the layout editor but no matter what size I choose I don't see anything. My resolution is 1920 x 1200 and I play in window mode.

  • Could you tell me what error you are getting?

  • Just wanted to say I think its brilliant to have it automatically turn on when u open the editor. Such a small thing but brilliant, great work.

    First of all this addon is a great help, good work.
    But is it somehow possible to make these lines sticky for all the ui parts? So they automatically stick to the lines or maybe where the lines cross. This would make the addon awesome!

  • Well, that would mean making the lines movable in the editor, which could cause some dropdowns. I'll see though.

    Yeah, I forgot to upload the 1.2 update to CurseForge. My bad. The window is harmless, aside from not letting the user to be able to see what in the heck is going on in at in the (in-game) world, lol.

  • Never been able to get this addon to work, even with the lastest verison. No grid whatsoever only the small box but doesn't do anything

    What UI resolution/scale are you running?

    My impression of this before installing was that the grid lines would enable you to snap layout objects to mesh points. While it's helpful for lining things up, if you you could somehow add this functionality It'd make life so much easier.

    (before somebody asks...I mean that when you're moving one box near another box...they kind of stick together when they're close, like they're magnetized)

    I'm afraid it doesn't show up when I'm in the Layout Editor. All I see is the slider but changing the value doesn't do anything.

    You should just be able to extract the top level Mesh folder from the zip in to your WAR/Interface/AddOns direectory. The folder + file structure within Mesh should not be altered. If you bring up the Debug Window (/debug), what errors are you seeing?

    The debug window shows nothing Mesh related. I've also tried installing it both with the Curse Client and manually.

    Try the new version, it might have been because I was calculating the line thickness incorrectly in regards to UI scale.
