Automatic NeedGreed is a tool which takes control of the loot roll window in Warhammer Online and automatically selects the adequate button for the user.
Due to massive complaints and suggestions concerning this addon, I made some major changes in version 0.92:
- NeedGreed triggers from now on only in RvR zones like scenarios or open pvp zones. Since the base idea of this addon was to eliminate annoying loot window messages during rvr combat, it was a necessary change to justify this addon on a base level.
- Added LibSlash support for functions
- Added the possibility to change the need/greed/pass behaviour for <career items>, <race items>,<potions>,<all career and race items>,<crafting items> and <unusable items>
- Added support of templates for this behaviours, which can be switched and set up independently
- Added a level range for items, which can be manually set between 0 and 10
Version 0.92b:
- Changed the level range to a up-level-range and down-level-range. The down-level-range is the item level beneath your characters level, the up-level-range is the item level above.
- You can now choose Select besides Need,Greed and Pass, which allows you to perform a manual selection for items.
- You can now turn off NeedGreed via a slash command.
Slashcommands:
/ngswitch career,race,usable,nouse,pots,crafting,statusmsgs,onoff
/ngtemplate 1-4
/nglvlrng 0-10 (v.0.92a)
/nglvlrng 0-10 0-10(v.0.92b)
/ngstatus
Possible setups for
- Career items: need/greed/pass/select (default: need),
- Race items: need/greed/pass/select (default: need),
- All career and race items: need/greed/pass/select (default: greed),
- Items with no use: greed/pass/select (default: pass),
- Potions: need/greed/pass/select (default: greed),
- Crafting items: need/greed/pass/select (default: pass)
The default level range is 5, which means that for example a lvl 20 character will may roll for items with a level range between 15 and 25.
Examples:
Instead of Need, you want Greed to be the automatic selection for race items:
Type in "/ngswitch race" for Pass and again "/ngswitch race" for Greed.
You want a item level range of 3 (v.0.92a):
/nglvlrng 3
You want only items which are 5 levels above your character and 2 level beneath (v.0.92b):
/nglvlrng 2 5
You want to see the actual status of NeedGreed:
/ngstatus
You want to switch to your 4th template:
/ngtemplate 4
You want to switch status messages on or off (v0.92a):
/ngswitch statusmsgs
You want to turn of NeedGreed:
/ngswitch onoff
You want to turn it back on:
/ngswitch onoff
Requirements
-Libslash
ToDo:
- Filter stats on items the character doesnt need (i.e. strenght for a caster)
- Filter crafting items the character doesnt need
- A configuration window
- ...
Further suggestions and even complaints are still very welcome.
Bugfixes:
- NeedGreed will now check the minimum item level and not the item level itself
- NeedGreed will now check if the character has the required skills to equip the item. If not, it will be marked as a no use item.
Extensions:
- Changed the level range to a up-level-range and down-level-range. The down-level-range is the item level beneath your characters level, the up-level-range is the item level above.
- You can now choose Select besides Need,Greed and Pass, which allows you to do a manual selection for items.
- You can now turn off NeedGreed via a slash command.
Installation Guide
- Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start Warhammer Online
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
