REQUIRES LIBSLASH TO WORK! This addon takes your non-command chat and modifies it to sound more orky! You can turn this on and off on the fly without removing the addon. Uses the /orc command through LibSlash. See readme for full command list, and for how to add / suggest more words. WAAAAGH!

  • Cuz mes Bor'd me might wanna do a biggy talky an' wurd fix? 'es, no?

(i could run through an oxford advanced learners dictionary just to make weird translations of all common words (such as snotface) that could be implemented into the orctalk lua.)

(i also suggest a skaventalk couse its so much more evil and insanelike (could be fun with a crazylooking zealot repeating verbs and having insanely weird words as substitute for common ones))

If you want me to do the orc vocabulary, oxford edition xD, or create a skaven-speak vocab just give me a call.

If you start your sentence with an "h" it automatically starts to talk in /say rather than the current channel. This is a bug, no?

    Some vocabulary suggestions:
    You're should be "Yer"
    Really should be "Weely"
    Thank-you should be "Fanks!"

I could come up with more, but I'll see if you're interested first.
Great little add-on. Let me know if you want more.

Is this still happening, or have you not updated your comment?

At first it appeared that way for me as well, but shortly after upon using the channel commands, it works just fine. YOu need to verify that your "OUT"going is enabled.

  • Haha, its great typing out wtf and getting "wot da zogg"

  • Great thanks! And ya "the" was "da" already, my bad =/

  • Okay. The "orc" translation: removed. Zog is already being used for that particular translation. And "the" should already be "da". I've made a few more fixes for the newest patch, here's to some more good WAAAAGH!

  • It was kind of awkward when I tell someone "I'm a black orc" and it translates to "I'm a black boy", guess I'll just have to refer to myself as a BO now. Anywho this is a great addon, I suggest maybe replacing the f word with "zog" which is basically the worst thing a greenskin could say =p
Also (I may have not used it enough to infer this) it seems to replace "the" with "ta" and I personally think "da" sounds better. Thats just being picky though =)

  • Lastly, this is only programmed to work for people using ENglish. If your language is set to anything else, it is designed to not work, as it would likely not make sense. Sorry other languages. But you can always update the Translate.lua file to make it work whatever way makes sense in your own language.

Also: the latest update lets you speak orcish with ANY race, on either faction. Enjoy, guys. And keep the word suggestions coming!

  • Oh yes, also. If you have old addons "orcanizer" or "ingame orcanizer" installed, you have to remove them, since they also use /orc as a command. And if you're not a greenskin (orc / goblin) then this first version will not translate for you without putting a "_" at the front of what you say (as per the readme). The coming patch will remove the restriction for non-greenskins, though, so everyone can enjoy a good WAAAAGH!

  • If it's not working (I reinstalled mine, and it works) try this: Make certain LibSlash is installed, updated to the most recent version, and functions. Test another LibSlash addon to make sure that your LibSlash is not the problem. Not the problem? Make certain that OrcTalk is loaded when Warhammer turns on. If it loads properly, it will tell you so in your chat box (at the same time as any other addons), saying something like "OrcTalk has successfully loaded. WAAAAGH!". If that isn't to be found, your OrcTalk is not installed properly. Make certain you unzip it to interface/addons into a folder called OrcTalk, and make certain Warhammer and Curse knows you have it installed. If you see the loaded text but it's not updating, use /orc on and then try using the this command (without the period at the end): /orc lang en. It should tell you it's using the English ruleset. Now every channel that you say should sound orky. I'm working on an update now, but if you still have problems, feel free to email me at the address in the readme / on this curse account. Let me know if this helped at all. Thanks!

I tried it, I typed /orc on, and nothing I said in /gu or /say seemed any different. I have LibSlash installed. Any tips? I like the concept a lot.
