About Paint the leader

Shows a Icon over the raid leader's character.

To update the Leader's Unit ID we need to force a GroupUpdate.
We do so by spaming private or public state of the Warband.
If you are the Warbandleader:
type /ptl spam pu if you want a public Raidgroup and Auto-Symbol-Update
type /ptl spam pr if you want a private Raidgroup and Auto-Symbol-Update
/ptl spam off stops every Update and your LeaderIcon may not be very synchronous.

Zeigt ein Symbol über dem Charakter des Kriegstruppleiters.

Um die UnitID des Leaders zu erneuern, müssen wir ein GruppenUpdate forcieren.
Das machen wir, indem wir den Publik oder Privat Staus der Gruppe spamen.
Wenn du der Kriegstruppleiter bist:
Tippe /ptl spam pu wenn du eine offene RaidGruppe und Auto-Symbol-Update haben möchtest.
Tippe /ptl spam pr wenn du eine geschlossene Gruppe und Auto-Symbol-Update haben möchtest.
/ptl spam off beendet alle Updates und das LeaderSymbol könnte sehr unsynchron sein.

Installation Guide

Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start Warhammer Online

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

Jackard this puts a visual star above the leaders head. The further away you are from him the larger the star gets. You can see it through terrain and obstacles. Check out addon "Group Icons"

Anyone else experience framerate issues when leader get farther away from you? I get 5 to 10 fps drop. No problems when he is close. Only a distance thing.

Looking at the install directory, it appears that "star.dds" is the icon u use. Is there someway for me to edit the graphic or substitute another? I think it's a direct draw format, but i can't find any program to edit it.

Haven't played with it much, but you should be able to edit the file using a plug-in for either Photoshop or The Gimp. More information here: http://www.modwiki.net/wiki/DDS_(file_format)

I am sorry, but this addon will only show symbols for Raidleaders.
Maybe we can revive charms, but its not planed yet.

Your functions are all globally defined, neither part of a namespace nor locally defined. This isn't good practice since it can result in conflicts and waste resources. It is especially dangerous with your getWarbandLeader function. You should change the PTL_Name definitions to PTL.name, which places them in the PTL namespace (which you need to define with PTL={} first). getWarbandLeader you could add PTL. to or define it as a local function.
