PBKeySwitcher : Plan / Balance key switcher
Short description :
This addon is for Black Orcs / Swordmasters.
It changes the way Plan/Balance actions are bound to keyboard.
Just look at the addon-linked img !
Tutorial : HOW-TO ?!
- Install :
- Close WAR
- Install the addon, you should use CurseClient
- Keep it updated via CurseClient
- Open WAR and go ingame !
- First time using the addon? You'll have to enable it, your UI'll be reloaded.
- Setup :
- Brainstorming time ! What do you rly want ?
- The first bar is enough to put main actions, but if you want your actions shortcut to change on bars number 2-3-4, use /pbks addbar x to add a bar to the manadged bar list
- 1,2,3,4.... keys are default keys, but if you want to use your own binding, use /pbks setkey x to change the keybinding used for number x action.
- You should group your actions by action/plan (check the image)
- Test:
- It should work, but you want to check it !
- Use /pbks force x ( x being 1-2-3 ), your keybinding should switch between stance/plan action groups
Ingame cmd
- /PBKS
- /PBKS off :: disable addon and rebind keys for this session
- /PBKS addbar x :: add bar x to manadged bar list
- /PBKS removebar x :: remove bar x to manadged bar list
- /PBKS setkey x :: reconfigure key combinaison linked with number x action
- /PBKS rescan :: (re)force abilities detection, can be use after macro change
- /PBKS force x :: for testing purpose, stimulate the x (1-2-3) plan/balance
- /PBKS unbindall :: remove all keybinding used by the addon",4)
- /PBKS restoredefault x:: restore the defaults bindings on bar x
- /PBKS reset :: reset the addon settings to default
Why ?
I hate playing with 6..12 keys, because if your hand is a human's one, you wont be able to push 9key and to move decently at the same time...
Usually, I use 1-5 keys & ALT combinaisons plus fgwxc keys for special abilities, and it's enough to bind most use actions. The probiem is that Black Orc / Swordmasters, do not have "most use", they need to perform lists of actions.
SO WHAT ? Well with this addon you'll be able to use ONLY 1-6keys (as example) for plan/balance actions !
Switching from a plan/balance to another will slide your keybinding so 1-n keys will be bind to the action matching with the now plan/balance !

Installation Guide
- Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start Warhammer Online
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
