About Phantom

Phantom is a tool to hide portions of the default unit frames in WAR (and/or the associated default buff frames). It is a wrapper around PhantomLib, which provides the core functionality (and can be integrated into other unit frame addons if desired, for use independently of the GUI Phantom provides.

If you have LibSlash installed, use /phantom to open the settings window. If not, use /script Phantom.Show() to open it.

Installation Guide

Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start Warhammer Online

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

I used this addon to disable the influence bar and somehow my Public Quest Tracker and Peaceful Quest Tracker have both been disabled. They are still visible in the Layout Editor but I cannot select them or edit them in any way. When a PQ is completed, however, I am still able to view the loot rolls. I tried rechecking/unchecking all of the check boxes and deleting this addon and all of its folders in an attempt to return these UI components to their default form but I was unsuccessful. I attempted to delete the folders as the CUF installation says, but I couldn't find the correct folders. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This isn't related to Phantom as far as I know. If you have something like Warboard or Waaaghbar disable the Influence part of it and it should show up again. The influence bar seems to be tied to the Public Quest Tracker now, which is a pain in the ass as it keeps making itself reappear everytime I take a BO or gain Influence in any way.

That seems to have done the trick. I have WarBoard installed and the main reason i installed Phantom was to remove the default influence bar and use the WarBoard Influence part. Is there any workaround to accomplish this? Thanks for the quick response.

I can't get the 4th actionbar back. When I switch between, 2 bars and 4 bars, the 4th bar pops in, but when I save it and close it does one of these...
1.disappears after closing the game settings window
2.disappears when i move a mouse over the 4th bar
3.very rare - it stays as it is but ehwn i switch location it disappears

I'm not 100% sure it's phantom. I got also lemmie instaled.

roumor is correct; that is a bug with the default UI in 1.3 and has nothing to do with Phantom.

It only happens when phantom is installed. I checked out every other addon.
Even if you desactivate Phantom it still bugs the UI.
You need to delete the Phantom folder from addons folder, then UI works fine again.

second: When hiding my party or my player status everything will hide except for the buffs and effects that are on the respective character. This is really annoying - is there a way to solve this?

I hid my 1st and 2nd action bars on one character and now they will not show up -- even if I disable the Phantom mod.

The workaround is that I can, in the game's options, select to show only 2 action bars (instead of 4) and I will once again be able to adjust those first 2 perma-hidden bars.

This is a pretty big issue imo: the changes addons make should be undone when the addon is removed -- an addon shouldn't damage your permanent game files.

Despite this serious issue, I still love Aiiane for all the work she has done to make WAR a much better gaming experience.

Except Phantom edits the file that the UI uses to show/hide elements. You need to change these settings before removing phantom or edit them by hand to show them once again.
