QuickSwap is an addon for cycling between weapon sets. In WAR this can be done outside combat only, but I've still found it very useful for going between 2-hander and 1-h/shield combo. It's currently used with slash commands and requires you to have LibSlash installed.
QuickSwap usage:
/qs help - this command list
/qs save - save current weapons as next set
/qs save # - save current weapons as set #
/qs sets - print sets
/qs clear - clear saved sets
/qs - equip next set in cycle
Of course you don't want to type a command every time you want to swap weapons. If you make a macro to activate QuickSwap, you can put it on your hotbar and set a keybinding to it. It should look like this:
/script QuickSwap.Command("")
When you have two copies of the same item, the one closest to the bottom right corner in your bags will be used. QuickSwap also tries to put weapons removed from hands to a position near that corner.
Future developments:
- A proper keybinding for swapping, should be possible. Then no macro would be needed.
- If I find a weapon that you can wield two copies of at the same time, handling that.
- Comments welcome!
If I make a proper graphical UI for QuickSwap then I want to allow saving your whole gear set, and possibly couple of other things. But don't hold your breath yet.
QuickSwap 1.2:
- Fixed bug in 1.1 where the permanent set data wasn't getting saved for good.
Installation Guide
- Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start Warhammer Online
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
