SpamMeNot for Warhammer

THIS MOD COMPLIES WITH 'REPORTING SPAMMERS 101'

SpamMeNot intelligently detects, blocks and reports commercial and annoying spam messages before you even see them, without relying on an extensive list of blacklisted domain names.

Files are hosted at CurseForge.

Features

Weighs words and patterns to determine if a message is spam.
Not fooled by space and number substitution in messages l1k3 th15.
Identifies spam even if it's split over several messages.
Auto-reports high rated spam to GMs.
Whitelist prevents 'false-positives' from guild, warband and group members as well as people on your friends list.

You can access the SpamMeNot console by clicking the small icon attached to your minimap, in there it'll show a few stats on the spam blocked, plus copies of all messages blocked, should you feel the need to read them.

- The first time SpamMeNot loads default settings, it will ensure that the tell send and receive filters are turned ON on the first chat window. This is so that people upgrading from older versions don't end up with tells turned off on all tabs.
- Fixed another filter color bug that resulted in them showing as white on tabs other than the first.
- Changed "Hide minimap button" to "Show minimap button" to correct inverse logic.
- Reset version number in .mod file back to 1.0 as changing this results in all saved variables for the mod being wiped.

Installation Guide

Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

One problem with this addon. Someone asked me about our guild and when I gave them our website I was reported. The CSR said he was using SpamMeNot. I wasn't banned but you might want to inform users about guilds and social sites. If possible maybe add safe websites that are filtered through. I'm not sure but just letting you know what happened and maybe there is some way to improve it.

Suggestion: Register the toggle button with layout editor instead of simply hooking it to the map frame. I hide my map (using zMiniMap) and it become difficult to place the icon the way it is now.

Anyone looking to do this, open core.lua and add the following:

LayoutEditor.RegisterWindow(
"SpamMeNotUIOverlay", -- window name internal
L"SpamMeNot Icon", -- window display name
L"Toggle button", -- description
false, false, -- allow resize width, height
false, -- allow hide
nil) -- hidden callback

This will register the little sun icon with the layout editor and allow you to move it away from the Minimap.

So I had this addon installed a while back, but I decided to uninstall it about a week ago. Ever since I have uninstalled it, I have been unable to send or receive tells. How do I fix this? Pretty annoying.
