  • About SquaredHotIndicators
  •

SquaredHotIndicators is an addon for Squared that allows you to keep track of different hots on your group at the same time.

Note:
SHI 2.0+ does not interfere with SquaredBuffIndicators. If you deactivated this addon, you might want to activate it again in the /addon-Menu if you want to keep track of non-hot buffs and debuffs.

Colors are divided in 4 groups and can be changed by typing /sqr hot-color[1-4] r g b
Example:
/sqr hot-color2 180 60 180

Defaults:
1: Green: Your standard 15 seconds duration HoT
2: Red: Your 1 sec cast direct heal + 9 second HoT
3: Yellow: Any other HoT you might have (Group HoT, etc.)

Dependencies
Squared for awesomeness and LibSlash for slash commands.

Is there a command to rest the color-settings?

In addition to the other suggestions given, the option to move the hot indicators to other corners other then the bottom right would be an appreciated feature.

This works great for me except for one thing. If there are other healers of the same class as me, then the indicators appear for their HoTs too. Would it be possible to show indicators only for my own HoTs (similar to the default HoT indicator in Squared)?

Thanks for the great addon, it helps a lot when healing.

I am also having a problem when joining a scenario. The indicators incorrectly continue to appear where they were at the end of the previous scenario.

If this mod has been abandoned, could someone patch it, or point me to another mod that does the same thing? (The previous problem I posted with the same-class HoTs is the main fix I need.) I find this mod very critical for healing.

Is there a way to give more definition to the duration of the hots on the
target in the existing Squared API?

One great feature from HealGrid is expiry warning and it would be awesome (imo) to see it in this UnitFrame/Addon

  • I just got SHI working earlier. The next time I logged in, the indicator boxes were teeny tiny. Talking 1 pixel big (took me a while to figure out the addon was still working).

I have indicator size set to 1, but if I set it to something bigger, it doesn't change the box's size, just moves them around in that individual squared element. Nothing appears in the debug window.

I can make them somewhat bigger by setting the squared boxes to be really tiny, then using the war UI editor to drag my squared grid bigger. But that only makes them like... 4 pixels big.

    Any clue? :)

turns out they don't really register the size change unless recreated. simply set the indicator size to your desired value and /reload :)

For some reason, everytime I log on I will not get SHI working (no heal icons in lower right hand corner) until I do a /reload and then it'll work!! I've tried it 3 times now with the same problem.
I have Squared and SBI switched on! Everything including client latest version.

okay, I found the reason. Grab 3.1 to fix it.

Just a note: I plan to add all types of shield buffs and healing morales to the mod, as well as a GUI Panel inside of Squared's Configurator. However, I'm quite busy to update all my addons until next Tuesday, when my holidays will start. Won't have time to fix anything after that.

Even with the latest version, and turning squared buff indicators off, It only shows a single 1 indicator regardless of what hot I cast. I have tried using different colors and default. No luck.

  • I also had this problem earlier tonight, but with the latest release of SHI it seems like it's working fine now.

Any chance this will ever show group hots on everyone in group, not just the person we currently have targetted? I had to disable this addon and just use the BuffIndicators from Squared in order to see my group hots show on everyone in range.

this functionality was implemented before patch 1.06 and will again be after patch 1.1. for now, nope, sorry.
note that SquaredBuffIndicators will show everyone's hots on your group, not just your own.

I have the newest versions of squared and SHI. I am seeing pretty much random results. I was seeing default squared buff/debuff so I turned of square buff indicators. Now I sometimes see blue for 15 sec Hot and sometimes white. Sometimes nothing at all shows up.

You get blue dots while disabling SquaredBuffIndicators? weird. did you change the default colors of SHI?
As always, check /debug for any error messages please

  • Do I need to do something to activate this? I have installed the addon with the curse client, but when I cast hots I don't get the default color scheme. If I try and do /sqr hot-color1 it says the value is nil (I am just trying to see it, not set it)

  • If this helps any... In the debugging window I get this each time I cast a hot.

Script Call failed - Error while calling [SHI.OnUpdate]:[string "Interface/AddOns\squaredhotindicators\SquaredhotIndicators.lua"]:119:bad argument #1 to 'unpack' (table expected, got nil)

I then turned off all addons (with the /addon) except for libslash and the squared and this one. Still does the exact same thing. I just see the single square for a HoT being tracked.
