simple: {YourWARProgramFolder}\interface\addons\ThankTheHealer\ThankTheHealer.Phrases.lua, right click, properties, change, open as a .txt(the block notes one) :D

Is it possible for you to tell if the res came from a Rune of Sanctuary(self res rune)? I think I just blew my cover by thanking myself for a res. =)

The phrases are in {YourWARProgramFolder}\interface\addons\ThankTheHealer\ThankTheHealer.Phrases.lua
I'm pretty sure you can just edit them there using a text editor.

The phrases are misspelled. Please fix them. Can't you give us the option of changing them ourselves?

This plugin would be A++ if we could change the phrases that are said. Hardcoding provides only so much flexibility.

And I've just gotta say - I F'IN LOVE THIS ADDON, MAN!

I too am glad for this addon. I play a tank and healers r my friend! But I don't have time to thank them for rezzes always, even though I want to. I never expect a rezz in a scenario as so many healers are DPS'ing and when one actually does rez me, I am VERY grateful!

Gotta say as a healer this is ... not so nice...

Might be nicer to have a popup button that can be pressed to respond with a thank you message that's customisable?

This is the most funny addon ever.Why would i feel better if you use addon to thanks me for this?I have one tip for you.Make addon for the healers,so after the ex-dead person thanks then,they say "NO Problem" or "You're Welcome".

i play a chosen but the occasionally rez are great and i agree, are under appreciated.


it should be more personal though

such as the mod automatically targets the resser and uses /thank
then this would be way better

cuz from the image, it could be meant to anyone but a nice, sincere personal thanks is great

I opened the "ThankTheHealer.Phrases.lua" file with Notepad and adjusted it to say thanks more in my style. Looking at the other files, I assume that will work.

I'd just like to say, this is an awesome idea. As a tank, I unfortunately rarely have time to properly thank healers for rezzes(I usually need to 'git back in there and soak damage, dammit!' when things are hairy enough that I need a rez), so this helps out nicely.

It occurs to me that you *could* set up a thanks-for heals message to play after a certain damage-to-me-healed threshold(user-specified) gets crossed. So if a healer's just kicking booty and has healed you, personally, for like 20K damage, then they might get a couple of thank-yous along the way(which at that kind of heal number, they certainly deserve). And it'd just reset once it crosses the line, or after 5 minutes go by without a heal or whatever. This'd probably be easier/less resource-intensive than tracking HPS over a sliding window or other interesting possibilities, too, since it's a simple number to watch(and could probably be done with one of the libraries to help performance out a little, perhaps). Dunno, it's a thought.

Could you similarly auto-tell-off a healer if they res you into a firestorm and you die instantly upon ressing, a second time? ;)

I second the thank for heals. It would need to have some sort of time checking feature. A healer heals you, you thank them, it adds their name to a database and does not thank them again (for a heal) by a configurable time (I would set mine for 24 hours).
