Just a quick workaround to reenable the "UI Mods" Menu item in the Main Menu.

In this Menu you can enable and/or disable the addons you installed.

Installation Guide

Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start Warhammer Online

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

Mod no longer needed as of Dec11/08, functionality now built into WAR.

Note, they put it under Customize Interface... it's not in the same place that this mod put it (Main Menu).

I have tried everything aside of reinstalling the game to get this mod to work again. I have edited the XML multiple ways using trial and error to find a fix and have not been able to. I tried to save the XML as read only with the changes that I made and it still did not work. has anyone been able to get this mod to work again once they have turned it off? If you have, can you please post a detailed description of how you did as well as what lines in the XML you edited. Thanks!

I seem to have issues with this mod disabling mods that i did not select from the menu if i select any at all. Specifically if i use it to disable the warband and group windows the zminimap disappears.

save your *.xml with "write protectet" option & start WAR again.

(because the "true" value its rewriting to "false")

I have no idea whats going on here, as I don't know coding, but I tried switching "false" with "true"(attempting the obvious) and "yes". No success.

If you were one of those silly enough to disable this mod... just edit the xml file in the user folder for this mod and re-enable it...

How do I enable this addon, if I accidentally disabled it using it... I loaded a bunch of mods and went to disable them all so I could enable and set them up one by one. In my haste to just click everything to disable I disabled this before realizing it was this addon. I have tried removing and installing it again. I have also checked the addons xml file and it states it is enabled.

Try deleting the complete ”Interface” and ”User” folder(incl. ALL sub-folders)… this way the WAR-installer should recreate completely new standard set of files/folders, the next time you start WAR. Unfortunally it also will reset all change to other settings, such as keyboard settings, performance settings(eg. Gfx. Settings) and so on… but at least its quicker then uninstalling game, re-install and re-patch it :/ NOTE: It’s ALWAYS a good idea to backup the folders you are about to delete… just in case :)

To solve it, I have delete all the adds, including those in the folder "Warhammer Online\user\interface\AllCharacters" (except the EA_*), and reinstall the game. But my pic on the left upper corner has definitly desapears, even after using the command /uireload...

Strange thing... In the lua code they are hiding this menu item if the release is not an internal on. don't know why they do that.

it't the same window that will appear. but the /addon command will only work if you have LibSlash installed and if you are aware of the command ;)
