About Warhammer Scrolling Combat Text

WSCT

What is it? - The official port of SCT from WoW to WAR

What can it do?

- Damage for incoming and outgoing with filtering for small damage.
- Heals for incoming and outgoing with filtering for small heals.
- All "Miss" events (dodge, block, immune, etc...)
- Custom Colors for all text events
- Low Health with values, and optional sounds
- Enter and Leave Combat Messages
- Renown, Experience, Influence Gain
- Eight Animation Types (Vertical, Rainbow, Horizontal, Angled Down, Angled Up, Sprinkler, Curved HUD, Angled HUD)
- Five Fonts
- Three separate Animation frames, each with their own settings. Assign any Event to each.
- Ability to flag any event as critical or as a text messages
- Options for text size, opacity, animation speed, movement speed, and on screen placement
- 5 built in profiles for easy experimentation.

How do I use it? - First unzip it into your interface\addons directory. For more info on installing, please read install.txt. Now just run WAR and once logged in, type /wsct to get the options list.

Installation Guide

Exit "Warhammer Online" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
Verify your WAR Installation Path
That is where you are running WAR from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your Warhammer Online folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Warhammer Online\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of WAR. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

Would like to see a special "crit" notification on the damage text (for example "1203!crit!") so you can easily track your critical hits. (just like in the ragnarok style variation of this mod).

Does the addon remove the standard, large white text that one normally sees on-screen, say when completing quests, etc? Ever since I installed this, it no longer appears.

It's the overheal thing. Every time you get overhealed, you get that absorb msg. Would be nice if it were +healed(amount overhealed)

Awesome mod, but a slight suggestion that I would like:

If you can make it possible as an event to notify when an ability is available after the cooldown is up. Ex. I use "Flee", after 30 seconds when it becomes available again, WSCT informs me "Flee is available!" or some such message.

Grayhoof, would be great if in next releases you'll add an option to show a name of attacker next to floating numbers (just like the names of abilities are currently shown). If this mod is still alife and supported, ofc.

The skill icons only show the top left corner of the actual icon after 1.3 landed

After investigation I found that the addon: Clean Castbar was interfering with WSCT and on disabling it, I could see the Low health text.

I use some heavy filtering of my damage messages, using a high threshold so basically only higher skill damage gets through. What i miss that way is damage information of DoTs. Would it be possible to detect and add the damage of several ticks of a DoT and create a visible message once the accumulated damage exceeds the filter threshold?

Suggestion: Filtering for small Renown gain. As a healer, I see lots of +1 - +5s.. not worth it!
