Without trying to be cliche, we're what you might call an older, more mature guild founded and run by working adults who for roughly 10 years now have known, gamed and in some cases lead guilds together across a variety of games.
By all means Axis is a laid back guild. We purposely set up the guild to function with as few rules and requirements as necessary to keep it streamlined and simple. We want to play a game, not work a second job, and therefore have taken the lessons we have learned in our years of gaming while being members, officers, or leaders of guilds and incorporated them here. We do seek to be an active guild, however, and therefore are asking all members to attend a minimum of 4 guild events (typically RvR events) per month - an average of 1 per week.
Our Mission:
Create an active, coordinated and tight-knit Destruction guild comprised of RvR focused adults, willing to spend 3 or 4 nights per week bringing pain, misery and death to the forces of Order.
General Rules:
- You must be age 21 or older to join.
- Members are encouraged to participate as often as possible in weekly, planned guild RvR events. They are expected to attend a minimum of 4 of these planned guild events per month.
- The guild size will be capped at approximately 50 members in order to foster a sense of community. We will also maintain a soft limit on class archetypes to help ensure well-balanced guild groups.
- You are not to use the guild as a second Auction House or Trade channel. You are also encouraged to make crafted items for "cost" for guild members or create items for them for free if they supply all the materials themselves.
- Religion, Politics and comments considered generally offensive are banned from guild chat. In addition the use of "cell phone speak" is vehemently discouraged.
- You are to preferably respect, but at a minimum tolerate other members of the Destruction side of our realm. You are also to avoid embarrassing the guild in public.
Ventrilo & Forums:
We have a dedicated Ventrilo server we use for communication during RvR. We also have active forums set up on this site for communication outside of the game.
Loot Distribution:
Although not required, it is recommended that loot distribution for guild groups should be handled using "Need before Greed" loot etiquette. If an alternative method is used, be sure that it is established as soon as the group is being formed to avoid confusion and frustration.
New Members:
New members (Recruits) will be given up to a 4 week trial upon joining the guild. During this time you must find a minimum of 3 current members to sponsor you and recommend you to the guild leaders for full membership.
Final Word:
This guild is not "hardcore" in the sense of time commitments - we ask only that you attend 4 guild events each month. We are working adults who have other obligations besides killing Dwarfs.
Our usual play time is evenings US Central time with most activity occurring on weekends. Guild events will take place weekly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
