What's the chances that Curse will offer addons for Aion NA version when it releases? Any chance of this? Thx

Well I think they will pop up when game is realeased. I sure hope if anything els coz I just love to have my own look and setup of my UI.

I certainly hope so as well. I was just wondering because when I looked through the Aion folders installed I was not finding an Interface/Addons or Interface folder period, so I was not sure that Aion was customisible or not like WoW and War. I love my questhelper and titanpanel, hope something similar will come to Aion.

Well, there is no folder in C:\Users\You\AppData for Aion. There is also nothing that hints towards "Addons" in the install path. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

From what i understand addons wont be available for aion since they're looking to have a level playing field. 1.5 release is already out in china / korea and i've not seen any customised addons from vids on youtube etc. Most of the stuff you "need" is implemented into the game anyway.

Theres not going to be any addon's useing one will result in a IP ban unfortunately . Theres a built in Q helper which locates npc's and mobs. Unfortunately theres no dps meater built or threat meter into the game. = [

I duh think there will be any addons for Aion. there not even a interface inside NCsoft folder. This could mean more safer game to play for everyone also at the same time greater challenges for PVE. Definately Aion bringing back the WOW- BC where everyone enjoined more than all other WOW-expansion.

highvoltage: I do know from talking to a couple of folks involved with Aion, that NCSoft will be taking a very direct stance agaiinst addons like bots and bot-like gameplay enhancements with the game.

I think it will allow skins because there is a load interface option in one of the settings that I noticed with a drop down list that only had the default in it.  So I think that will be the extent of it.

Aion will support UI modifications.. so most likely Curse will host them...

Actually, they have confirmed that they will support addons just like WoW in the future.

For most of you MMORPG-aholics, you understand that having a DPS meter and Threat Meter are a must when in dungeons and raids. I for one HOPE Aion will soon be able to support add-ons like that or at the very least, make them available in-game already....I guess we just wait and see........

people seam to think this game is a WOW clone.... this game is made by ncsoft did you ever seen addon for guild wars lineage or any game made by ncsoft ??? if you need addon to play a mmorpg than get back to wow there no dungeon or raid like wow in aion, its more a Lineage like game.. many wow player will go to aion in a short therm but if your an hardcore wow player stick to it, you will not find what your seek for in Aion, and i don't think Ncsoft want to be a world of warcraft imo, its up to them to not be a wow shadow

aion will probably do sumthing to allow you to get addons and curse will get addons its just a matter of time

i hope htat they dont bring addons in... it creates elitists and if there are elitists then it will be just like wow....

This isn't so bad, but I would really like to see dps, aggro, and a little more flexibility of my UI than just what they designed (batertender would be awesome :P)

well I hope they allow a dps meter, I will cancel my account if they don't. its already anoying not having one.

That's just a placeholder in case Aion releases an API for addons or UI changes.  Curse isn't sure themselves if NCSoft will allow addons so that's why they are there.

Just because Curse has a page for addons doesn't necessarily mean their anticipations are right.

So at the moment, NCSoft aren't allowing addons at all?

right. That`s the point there is simple no Addon API which Authors could use to create an addon. Aion is already available long time before the US / EU start in Korea and I doubt there will be any addons in the future.
