I'm having a bit of trouble finding curse client 4, I've been following a mod, get 3 download choices, but there seems to be no way to download the third choice, which is the curse 4 client choice.

As a curse premium member, I was expecting a bit.... more... 

If curse 4 is a download choice, then I expect to find it as a link on many pages, including my profile, on every mod page, and every menu item  If its a beta software, then why are you advertising the download to non-subsribers? (when I wasnt logged in)

Please provide obvious links to the software, so that I dont have to go trough a scientific expeirament to try to find the current client.

The reason you can't find the v4 client everywhere (yet) is because it is still in beta. You can download it here, just scroll down the page for the Windows link. The Mac version is getting serious development time as well, but the devs haven't deemed it beta-worthy.

It isn't because anyone is or is not a Premium subscriber; it is because the client isn't considered finished.

Well frankly since the current OSX curse client doesn't work AT ALL, they need to pull their fingers out of their proverbials and get a working OSX version out there. I went premium to try and get curse 4 for mac only to find out I can't have it because they haven't put as much development into mac as they have windows. I'm not about to change operating systems to accomodate Curse, so how about it guys?

EnglandJoe, looking at curseforge.com, I see three updates to the v4 Mac client on September 16. While that may sound like "but that was TWO WEEKS AGO" I can tell you that Kaelten, who is co-owner of curse.com, is a Mac owner and user. He is the head developer of the Mac client, and wants it done just as much as you do. I am not going to give you a direct link to the download, but I did say where it is.

If you decide to try out the alpha, let me point out again it is an ALPHA, so please bear that in mind, along with everything an alpha build might not have, it also might not work correctly, or just simply fail.

The good news is there is progress on the v4 Mac client, and when finished, will address all the current complaints about lack of OS support, or lack of processor support.

The irony of the whole situtation is, that after using the client for 4 weeks, a message pops up today saying that the curse 4 client is for "curse employee's only" or something.  Yet the links to the v4 download remain on every mod page.  Its like a tease almost, like the big red button that says don't push, so naturally you have to push it.

Hmm, that definitely isn't the case (or shouldn't be). There may have been sold old code executed from our alpha. We definitely opened the client up to more users, but it's still intentionally hard to find as we aren't comfortable with releasing it to the masses yet. It's very much still in a beta state and updates frequently, which some users don't like.

He's not the co-owner, and there's more than just him who are mac users.

The PC version of the client is close to being opened up to the masses, the beta testing that has occured has helped quite a bit.  The Mac client is still in development, I'm not a mac user however I've had a chance to look at it on a friends mac and it looks really nice.

Alot of Curse.com staff are mac user.

It's going to be moving into a more public light shortly.
