I think that people that pay close attention to the sound quality of games and sais its crap are deaf also this was filmed on what looks to be a crappy camera... theres a bunch of comotion going on in the backgrounds the game is still in beta so stfu and quit trolling

I was making a valid point on what needs improvement on the game. If you thing the game sounds amazing great. But for me, it just didn't sound up to par with other games out there. It defenitely needs improvement. I for one am not happy with it so far, and hopefully mythic wll make it sound alot better. If not I'll just ending up muting the sound which is a shame.

On a good note the graphics are really shaping up to be nice. They even looked alot better this week with the addition of the new lighting tool. Alot of the screenshots didn't have ambient lighting ( some of the dwarf buildings were not shaded ) so it will be interesting what the finished product will look like.

But ..

THe sound needs to be touched up. Mainly in explosions and some of the "doac"ish spell casting sounds.

Uhm dude, I was in Baltimore and it sounds alot worse in person. It's really not the volume of the sounds. IT's that the sounds just don't match their given events. A gernade doesn't need to sound like a dam atom bomb and gun fire doesnt need to sound like a dam air craft carrier gun with m16 bullets zinging by. I have no hopes for the sound in this game and if your hears are deaf to this I don't know what else to tell you. The sounds right now are god awful. This game is coming out in 8 months ( according to Mythic ) and I just don't think that's enough time to polish the game in that time.

Mythic just needs to hire the guys that did the intro video to their department , cuz right now their's sucks in comparison.

Things I didn't mention before were how loud the footsteps sound, how fake the weapons sound, ( IE every weapon swing sounds like a mace,sowrd,axe hitting dog meat all at once) and last but not least..

Dude, its being recorded on a hand held video camera aimed at a monitor. The sound is coming from speakers that are god only knows what quality in what location at what volume and then being recorded onto the video and converted to a small and efficient file size to be streamed on a website. Relax

You do realize this is only Alpha right? As in everything isn't completed.

The sound is just god awful and TERRIBLE. The explosions sound like atom bombs and the engineer guns sould like some ballistic gun of an aircraft carrier. How mythic sound employees still have their jobs is a mystery. If it was up to me I would fire them all on the spot.
